Where to Report Suspicious Calls: In today's digital age, scams and suspicious calls are on the rise. Many mobile users are constantly plagued by these calls and messages. While some users block these numbers, calls and messages often begin pouring in from different numbers shortly thereafter. If you, too, are troubled by such a situation, this news is specifically for you. You no longer need to worry about fraudulent messages or calls. The Government of India has introduced a portal that allows you to report these numbers right from the comfort of your home. A key feature of this portal is that it not only blocks the specific number but also blacklists the offender's mobile device (IMEI). Let's explore this in greater detail...

Which Portal Should You Use to Report?
The Rajasthan Police recently shared a post via their official 'X' (formerly Twitter) handle to inform the public about this portal. There is no longer any need to panic upon receiving a suspicious call or message; you can now report them via the 'Chakshu Portal.' With the help of this portal, the offender's phone number will not only be blocked, but their mobile device (IMEI) will also be blacklisted.

Under What Circumstances Should You Report?
If you receive threats of "digital arrest" or get suspicious calls regarding fake KYC updates or courier services, you should report them immediately on the Chakshu Portal. Additionally, if you receive repeated calls from international numbers (such as +92, +84, etc.), you can also report them on this portal. To file a report, you must visit the official Chakshu Portal website at https://sancharsaathi.gov.in/sfc.

Where to Report Financial Losses?
If you fall victim to any form of fraud or suffer a financial loss, you must report the incident on the website cybercrime.gov.in. Alternatively, you can also dial the helpline number 1930.
