PAN Card Fraud: Nowadays, cases of fraud are increasing. Many times, people do not even know, and loans are taken fraudulently in their name. Since a PAN card is necessary for every financial transaction, fraudsters can misuse it. If you want to know whether someone else has taken a loan on your PAN card, then there is an easy way to check it.

For this, you have to take out a credit report (CIBIL Score Report). This report contains details of all the loans and credit cards taken out in your name. If any loan is seen in it that you have not taken, then you should immediately contact the bank or lending company and complain about it.

How to get a credit report

Go to the website of credit bureaus like CIBIL, Experian, Equifax, or CRIF High Mark.

Enter your PAN card number, mobile number, and other important information.

Verify with OTP.

Your complete credit report will be revealed.

By looking at this report, you can know whether any fake loan is running on your PAN card.

What to do if a fake loan is found in your name?

If you see a loan in your credit report that you have not taken out, first of all, immediately inform the bank or financial company that has issued the loan. Also, file a complaint with the credit bureau (such as CIBIL, Experian, etc.) that has given this information. Most credit bureaus provide the facility of filing a complaint online. For this, you will have to provide a copy of the identity card, information related to the suspicious loan, and a written affidavit. Apart from this, also complain to the cybercrime cell of the nearest police station with evidence of misuse of your PAN card, so that further investigation can be done and your name remains safe.
