Why SBI's online services will be down
SBI has announced on its official social media accounts that the bank is carrying out scheduled maintenance activity. Consequently, online banking services will be down for approximately 60 minutes from 1:10 am to 2:10 am on October 11. The bank has stated that this maintenance is being carried out to provide necessary updates and system upgrades, ensuring a better customer experience in the future.
Which services will be affected?
SBI stated that during this maintenance period, customers may experience disruptions with digital services such as UPI, IMPS, the YONO app, internet banking, NEFT, and RTGS. However, the bank stated that ATM and UPI Lite services will remain operational during this period.
What customers should do during this period:
If you are planning any online transactions on the night of October 11th, it is best to complete your payments in advance. The bank advises customers to use ATMs or UPI Lite during this period. Additionally, if necessary, carry cash or use other bank accounts.
SBI UPI also experienced a recent issue:
It should be noted that a few days ago, on October 8, 2025, SBI UPI services were also affected due to a technical glitch. At that time, the bank stated that some customers were experiencing temporary issues and advised them to use UPI Lite. The bank later announced that the issue would be resolved by 7:45 pm.
SBI requested customers' understanding.
The bank informed customers that this maintenance is for a very short period and is intended to improve services. SBI has requested customer cooperation and expressed regret for the inconvenience.
