When was the Amrit Kalash Scheme started-

In the Amrit Kalash FD Scheme, customers used to invest for only 400 days. This scheme has been very popular. Four days ago on 31 March 2025, this scheme was discontinued. This scheme ran for about 1 year and 2 months.

However, now you cannot invest in it because this scheme has been withdrawn by the bank. SBI's special Fixed Deposit scheme 'Amrit Kalash' was launched in April 2023 and customers were given a lot of importance to investing in this scheme. Given the investment interest of the customers, its time limit was extended several times.

Interest rates of Amrit Kalash FD scheme-

Customers investing in this scheme were getting 7.10 percent interest on FD of 400 days and 7.60 percent interest to senior citizens (Senior citizen's fd rate). These interest rates (interest rate in sbi fd schemes) were 30 basis points higher than regular FD schemes. This scheme had made good investments in just two years. This scheme was opened for both domestic and non-resident Indians.

Know the specialty of Amrit Kalash FD-
This scheme was implemented on term deposits of less than Rs 2 crore. Under this scheme, customers could take interest on a monthly, quarterly or half-yearly basis. Interest on a particular term deposit was paid on maturity. Not only this, TDS was deducted as per the rules of the Income Tax Act. Apart from this, there are many other specialties of this scheme. Loan facility and premature withdrawal facility were also provided in this scheme.
