Sanchar Saathi App: The popularity of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT)'s Sanchar Saathi mobile app is increasing in the market. This can be gauged from the fact that in just 6 months, more than 50 lakh people have downloaded this app. The Ministry of Communications gave this information on Saturday.

With the help of this app, 5.35 lakh lost or stolen mobile phones have been recovered so far. Also, more than 1 crore fake mobile connections have been shut down, and 29 lakh suspicious numbers have been deactivated through the Chakshu feature.

The Sanchar Saathi app is available in 21 regional languages
Launched in January 2025, it is very easy to report fraudulent calls and messages on this app. Users can send reports directly from their call and SMS logs in a few taps. The app is available in 21 regional languages ​​besides Hindi and English. This app is available on both Android and iOS platforms.

Rein in fraud calls!
The Ministry of Communications said, "Reporting of fraudulent calls and messages has been made even easier, as users can now file a report directly from their call and SMS logs in just a few taps." The Department of Telecommunications has also implemented the Financial Fraud Risk Indicator (FRI), which assesses and categorizes mobile numbers associated with financial fraud risk. This tool enables banks, NBFCs and UPI service providers to take proactive action to protect consumers.

Sanchar Sathi Portal was launched in 2023

Building on the success of the portal launched on 16 May 2023, the Department of Telecommunications introduced the Sanchar Sathi Mobile App on 17 January 2025, which gives users direct and convenient access to telecom security services.
