UPSC Recruitment 2025: UPSC is soon completing the application process for 84 posts, which include Public Prosecutor, Assistant Public Prosecutor, and Lecturer.

Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) is going to complete the application process for many important posts soon. This time, a total of 84 vacancies will be filled, which include the posts of Public Prosecutor, Assistant Public Prosecutor, and Lecturer in the School Education Department.

The application process started from 23 August 2025 and its last date has been fixed tomorrow i.e. 11 September 2025. In such a situation, candidates who have not been able to apply yet are advised to fill the online form as soon as possible.

To become Public Prosecutor and Assistant Public Prosecutor, the candidate must have a Law (LLB) degree from a recognized university or institute. Apart from this, at least 7 years of bar practice experience in criminal cases is required to become a public prosecutor.

Talking about the age limit, the maximum age for Assistant Public Prosecutor is 30 years and for Public Prosecutor the maximum age is 35 years. Candidates of reserved category can get relaxation in maximum age as per government rules.

To become a lecturer in the School Education Department, it is necessary to have post graduation in the relevant subject. Along with this, the candidate should also have a B.Ed degree. The maximum age for general candidates is 40 years, while for reserved category this limit is 45 years. The appointment will be in the School Education Department of Ladakh Administration.

Assistant Public Prosecutor has been placed in Pay Matrix Level-07. The basic salary on this post starts from Rs 44,900 and goes up to Rs 1,42,400. The in-hand salary with allowances will be around Rs 84,981 per month. The Public Prosecutor has been placed in Pay Matrix Level-10. Its basic salary starts from Rs 56,100 and goes up to Rs 1,77,500. The in-hand salary including allowances will be around Rs 91,805 per month.

Candidates recruited for the post of Lecturer will get salary in Pay Matrix Level-09. The basic salary ranges from Rs 53,100 to Rs 1,67,800. After adding allowances, the in-hand salary will be around Rs 87,495 per month.

No written examination will be conducted in this recruitment. Candidates will be selected only on the basis of interview. Information about the date, time and place of the interview will be released from time to time on the official website of UPSC. On the day of the interview, candidates will be required to bring a print out of their application form and all the necessary documents.
