How to Re-submit? A Step-by-Step Guide
If a deficiency was noted in your claim, follow these steps:
- Official Link: First, visit the Sahara Re-submission Portal.
- Login: Enter your Claim Request Number (CRN) and the Captcha code to validate your details.
- Correct Errors: Upload the correct documents or update any incorrect information as indicated by the deficiencies listed on the portal.
- Submit: Once all information has been entered, resubmit the form.
- Processing Time: Verification of the application will be completed within 30 days, followed by a decision regarding the payment within the subsequent 15 days.
The New Sahara Refund System: What Has Changed?
Claim Limit: Investors can now re-submit claims for a total amount of up to ₹10 lakhs. Previously, this opportunity was available only to investors with smaller claim amounts.
Previous Payments: Investors whose documents were found to be in order have already received payments of up to ₹50,000 per application, credited directly to their bank accounts. Supreme Court Order: This entire process commenced following the Supreme Court's order to transfer ₹5,000 crore from the Sahara-SEBI Refund Account to the Central Registrar (CRCS).
