Here is a list of changes that will come into effect from June 1

New Driving License Rules

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has recently announced new rules for obtaining a driving license. From June 1, 2024, citizens will be able to take their driving exams at private institutions instead of regular government RTOs. These private centers will have the authority to conduct exams and issue certificates for driving licenses.

The new rules aim to reduce pollution by phasing out about 900,000 old vehicles under government use and implementing strict car emission protocols.

The penalty for speeding will range between ₹ 1,000 to ₹ 2,000. However, if a minor is found driving, he will have to pay a severe fine of ₹25,000. In addition, the vehicle owner's registration will be canceled and the minor will be ineligible to apply for a license until the age of 25.

Aadhaar Card Update

Those who want to update their Aadhaar card details for free can do it online till June 14. However, if you choose to update the details offline, users will be charged Rs 50 per update.

LPG Cylinder Price

LPG cylinder prices are revised on the first day of every month. On June 1, companies will fix new gas cylinder prices. Looking at the last month, we saw a reduction in the price of commercial cylinders, and it is expected that they will reduce the cylinder prices again in June.
