TRAI has instructed telecom companies to stop the service of such numbers which are not whitelisted and are being used for messages with URLs, OTT links, and Android App Location Packages (APKs). The deadline for the new government rule regarding numbers that are not registered with telecom companies has been extended. Earlier this new rule was coming into effect from September 1, whose deadline was 31 August. Now this new rule will come into effect after 30 September.
Apart from this, next month will be special regarding the rules related to Aadhar cards, Google Play Store, and UPI transactions. Let us know which rules are coming into effect next month-
Aadhaar Card
A new rule is being brought by UIDI for Aadhar card holders. From September 14, Aadhar cardholders will have to pay charges to get their Aadhar card updated online. However, the facility of Aadhaar update is available offline but charges are already taken for it. Now with the new month, online service will also become paid.
Google Play Store
With the beginning of the new month, Google's new Play Store Policies are also being implemented. From September 1, Google is going to remove all low-quality apps from its platform. The company believes that such apps can cause malware entry in the user's phone. In such a situation, from September, Android phone users around the world are not going to get many apps on the Play Store.
UPI
From September 1, the new rules of the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) are also going to be implemented. With the beginning of the new month, RuPay credit card and UPI transaction fees will not be deducted from RuPay reward points. National Payment Corporation of India has already informed all the banks about this new rule. The new rule will come into effect from tomorrow. RuPay credit card holders will be able to earn reward points for UPI transactions like other payment service providers.
