Rohtas News: Mini banks will open in villages! Deposit-withdrawal and credit card facilities will be available, this is the plan..

Now the Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS) in villages will not only remain a centre for providing fertilizers, seeds, and loans, but will also work as a mini bank. The cooperative bank has taken this big step towards providing door-to-door banking facilities to the villagers. Under this, a total of 50 PACS committees of Rohtas and Kaimur districts have been selected as DMA (Deposit Mobilization Agent) friends. Micro ATMs are being provided to these committees so that modern banking services can be delivered to every village.
You will be able to take advantage of these facilities.
Arvind Kumar Paswan, Managing Director of Sasaram-Bhabua Co-operative Bank, said that 29 PACS of Rohtas and 21 PACS of Kaimur have been included in this scheme. Through these PACS committees, villagers will now be able to take advantage of facilities like opening an account, depositing money, withdrawing, and using a Kisan Credit Card. He said that this initiative is a unique effort to provide banking services to the villages, which will make the lives of the people easier and will give a new direction to the cooperative movement.
They will get great relief.
With the micro ATM and POS machine available with DMA Mitras, villagers will no longer have to go to the bank branch or ATM for small financial needs. Especially women and the elderly will get great relief from this facility. Apart from this, Kisan Credit Cards will also be issued to provide immediate financial assistance to farmers. DMA Mitras will not only do the transactions but will also help in opening new accounts and paperwork related to banking.
The role of PACS will be strengthened.
This initiative will further strengthen the role of PACS. Now these committees will become the axis of financial empowerment, along with agricultural production and loan distribution. This will not only deepen financial inclusion but will also increase the income of PACS. Along with this, employment opportunities will also be created at the village level as local youth will get the opportunity to work as bank friends.
The cooperative movement will get a new direction.
According to the Managing Director, this initiative is going to give concrete form to the concept of prosperity through cooperation. With the PACS committees getting the status of a mini bank, trust and attachment towards banking will increase in the rural society. Farmers will get timely loans, small businessmen and women will get financial support and the cooperative movement will get a new direction.
