Research: If you wear a SmartWatch to stay fit then clear all the misconceptions, knowing this research will make you lose faith..

If wearing a smartwatch is improving your health, then change this thinking now. Actually, we are not saying this, but this truth has come to light in the research itself. Recently, America's Notre Dame University studied the products of 22 popular smartwatch brands sold in the market, out of which harmful cancer-causing chemicals were found in 15 smartwatches. In the research, these chemicals have been named "forever chemicals". This is because these chemicals remain in the environment for many years and decompose with great difficulty.
Chemicals found in smartwatches of 15 brands
In its study, Nortre Dame University has declared smartwatches of 15 brands as cancer-causing due to the presence of chemicals. Actually, fluoroelastomer rubber is used to make the rubber band of these smartwatches, which is a type of synthetic rubber and is resistant to liquids like oil, and sweat. Scientists have found that the fluoroelastomer compound used in rubber bands can cause cancer. Its density in rubber bands is less than 1%, but this amount is enough to cause cancer in an ordinary person.
Demand for the ban has been raised.
Research has found that up to 40 percent of chemicals are used to make the rubber band of smartwatches. Chemicals are used to make it which are also found in carpet, paper, and insecticides. There is a risk of liver disease due to these chemicals. Not only this, the European Union, considering the seriousness of the matter, has demanded a ban on consumer products made from fluoroelastomer compounds. The revelations from this research have been published in the journal Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety.
This poisonous compound is also found in these things.
"Forever chemicals" i.e. polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are found in many household items. Such as Teflon-coated pans, grease-resistant paper, fast-food wrappers and microwave popcorn bags, outdoor gear, carpets, upholstery, fire-retardant foam, beauty products like foundation and mascara and also in electronics and medical devices.
PFAS can enter our body through water. Especially those living near industrial areas are at greater risk. It can also enter our body by eating food in utensils made of PFAS.
