Following UGC approval, several renowned foreign universities are preparing to open campuses in India. This will provide students with the opportunity to pursue a world-class education and a foreign degree while staying in India.

There is news of relief for thousands of Indian students who dream of studying abroad. Students who were unable to study at foreign universities due to high fees and living expenses may now find their path easier. Following UGC approval, several renowned foreign universities are preparing to open campuses in India. This will provide students with the opportunity to pursue a world-class education and a foreign degree while staying in India.

Every year, a large number of Indian students dream of studying in countries like the US, UK, China, and Russia. Many students apply for scholarships, but the high cost of living, food, and daily expenses abroad makes it difficult to pursue their studies. This is why many students are forced to abandon their dreams.

In this context, the Indian government has been working tirelessly to globalize higher education for quite some time. The UGC has granted permission to several renowned foreign universities to open campuses in India. Growing confidence in India's regulatory framework has led to nine UK universities preparing to establish their presence here.

Universities from the UK, as well as Australia, the US, and Italy, are also preparing to open campuses in India. Major names like the University of New South Wales, the University of Liverpool, and the University of York are included in this list. Their campuses could open in Bengaluru and Mumbai.

The biggest relief for students is that they will no longer need to leave the country to pursue a foreign degree. They will be able to pursue international-level education while living in India and obtain a degree from the same foreign university. This will also provide better job opportunities.

Universities approved by the UGC include the Illinois Institute of Technology, the University of Liverpool, Victoria University, Western Sydney University, the Instituto Europeo di Design, the University of York and Aberdeen, and the University of Bristol.

Some foreign universities already exist in India. These include the University of Southampton, Deakin University, and the University of Wollongong. The University of New South Wales is also set to open this year.

The opening of these foreign campuses could propel Bengaluru and Mumbai into major education hubs. The cost of studying here will be lower than abroad, and students will be able to access international-level education in their own country.
