If there is a delay in the processing of your passport, your file is stuck, or you are facing any passport-related issues, there is good news for you. RPO Ghaziabad has introduced a 'Walk-in Service' for the convenience of the public. Under this initiative, people can visit the office to resolve their passport-related problems without needing a prior appointment. However, certain rules apply; let’s take a look:
**When is this facility available?**
This facility is available from Monday to Thursday every week. However, operations will remain suspended on public holidays. The biggest advantage of this service is that you do not need to book an online appointment in advance. You can go directly to the passport office and explain your issue. Please note that only 150 people will be accommodated each day.
**Who will benefit?**
Those whose passport files have been pending for a long time.
Those requiring a resolution to an urgent passport-related issue, or
Those in need of immediate assistance will find this facility particularly helpful.
**What is the process?**
150 tokens will be issued daily under the walk-in facility.
Token distribution will begin at 9:00 AM.
Tokens will be issued on a 'first-come, first-served' basis, meaning, those who arrive earlier will receive their tokens first.
Therefore, if you wish to avail of this facility, try to arrive early.
**Who gets priority for tokens?**
The passport office has decided to prioritize certain categories of people, including:
Senior citizens aged 60 years or older,
Differently-abled individuals, and
Young children.
They will be given priority in token issuance to minimize their waiting time.
**Who can obtain a token?**
Tokens will be issued only to the individual who has the passport-related matter to address. If the applicant is under 18 years of age, their parents or legal guardians may obtain the token on their behalf. Tokens will not be issued to any other person.
