Relief for Kalka-Shimla Rail Passengers on Independence Day; Previously Cancelled Trains to Run for Three Days

Kalka-Shimla Train News: Significant news has emerged for travelers on the Kalka-Shimla rail route ahead of Independence Day. The Railways has decided to temporarily resume two special trains that had previously been cancelled. This move is expected to benefit tourists visiting Shimla during the holidays as well as local commuters.
According to directives issued by the Railways, trains numbered 52451/52452 and 52459/52460 on the Kalka-Shimla route had been cancelled from July 27, 2026, to August 20, 2026, due to operational reasons. However, considering the rising passenger demand, the Railways has decided to temporarily restore these services.
Dates of Operation
It has been decided to run train numbers 52451/52452 on August 14, 15, and 16, 2026.
Train numbers 52459/52460 will also operate on their scheduled route on August 14, 15, and 16, 2026.
Although these trains were originally cancelled until August 20, 2026, instructions have now been issued to restore their operations following a request from the Commercial/Control (COMM/CNL) department.
