The State Bank of India (SBI) has initiated the online application process for the recruitment of Trade Finance Officers. This recruitment drive, falling under the Specialist Cadre Officer category, aims to fill Trade Finance Officer positions within the International Banking Group (IBG).

How many vacancies are there?

SBI has announced a total of 35 vacancies for this recruitment. Of these, 14 posts are for Junior Management Grade Scale-1 (JMGS-I), while 21 posts are for Middle Management Grade Scale-2 (MMGS-II). Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for both grades may apply for both positions separately.

What is the eligibility criteria?

Candidates applying for either post must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a government-recognized university or institution. Additionally, candidates are required to possess a certification in Forex Operations from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF). This certificate must have been issued on or before July 31, 2026.

Regarding age limits: Candidates for the JMGS-I post must be between 21 and 30 years of age, while the age range for the MMGS-II post is 23 to 32 years. Age will be calculated as of July 31, 2026.

How will the selection take place?

There will be no written examination for this recruitment; candidates will be selected based on shortlisting and a personal interview. Initially, candidates will be shortlisted based on their educational qualifications and work experience. Subsequently, the shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the interview.
