According to government sources, consideration is being given to launching the new registration phase of the scheme from the Bastar division. A large number of eligible women in the remote and rural areas of the Bastar region remain outside the scheme's ambit; consequently, the government is preparing to extend benefits to that area first.

Hema Singh from Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district started a grocery shop by saving the money received from the scheme. Meanwhile, Kariyo from Surguja district started a goat-rearing business, which has now become a significant source of income for her family.

Minister for Women and Child Development Lakshmi Rajwade stated that the system of directly transferring funds for sarees to the bank accounts of Anganwadi workers is being reinstated.
