Registration for CAT 2024 will be closed tomorrow, know how to apply

Indian Institute of Management (IIM Calcutta) will close the registration process for Common Admission Test (CAT 2024) tomorrow i.e. on 19 September. CAT exam 2024 will be conducted on 24 November in 3 sessions to determine eligibility for admission to various management programs offered by IIM. Along with CAT exam date 2024, IIM has also uploaded the complete schedule on the official website iimcat.ac.in.

Exam will be held in 170 cities

Candidates wishing to pursue postgraduate and doctoral programs in IIM have to fill the CAT application form by 5 pm on 20 September. The entrance test will be conducted in around 170 cities. The institute said that candidates will be given the option to choose from 5 preferred cities.

'After the registration window closes, a correction window will be made available to registered applicants,' a notice said. However, candidates will only be allowed to edit test city preferences and upload correct photo and signature.

Exam Pattern

The CAT paper will have three sections - Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension; Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning; and Quantitative Ability. 120 minutes will be given during this exam. As per the exam pattern, candidates will be given exactly 40 minutes to solve one section and they will not be allowed to move from one section to another.

How to apply

First of all visit the official website of CAT 2024 iimcat.ac.in.

Then click on the 'New Candidate Registration' link available on the homepage.

After this, enter the basic details to generate user ID and password.

Then login again using the generated credentials.

Now proceed to fill your personal and academic details.

Then select 5 preferred cities to appear for the exam.

Now upload the documents in the required format.

Then read the filled details carefully and submit the form.

Finally download it and save it for future use.
