Recruitment for 400 SPO Posts in Haryana Police; Applications Open from August 24

A notification has been issued for the recruitment of 400 Special Police Officers (SPOs) in the Haryana Police. This recruitment will be conducted for the Telecommunication Wing of the Haryana Police under Section 21 of the Haryana Police Act, 2007.

Haryana Police Vacancy: The application process for 400 Special Police Officer posts in the Haryana Police has been announced. This recruitment will take place within the Telecommunication Wing under Section 21 of the Haryana Police Act, 2007. A press note regarding this was issued on Tuesday. Eligible ex-servicemen from the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), as well as former constables from the disbanded HSISF and HP battalions, are eligible to apply.

District-wise Application Schedule

Candidates must arrive to submit their applications on the specific date designated for their district. Applications will not be accepted after the 13th. Applications will be accepted on August 24 for candidates from Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, and Kaithal; on August 25 for Sonipat, Panipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Bhiwani, and Charkhi Dadri; on August 26 for Gurugram, Faridabad, Mewat (Nuh), Palwal, Rewari, and Narnaul; and on August 27 for Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Hansi, Jind, and Dabwali. Candidates must reach the Police Lines Telecommunication center (opposite Sector-25, near Village Moginand, Panchkula) by 9:00 AM on their scheduled date.

Who Can Apply?

According to the notification, candidates must be between 25 and 50 years of age. Candidates are required to have passed the 12th standard and possess at least 5 years of service experience in the Armed Forces or Central Armed Police Forces. Candidates must not have been removed or dismissed from service due to indiscipline, misconduct, or medical/fitness issues. They must have held ‘Medical Category A’ status at the time of discharge, and their character rating in the discharge certificate must be ‘Exemplary’ or ‘Outstanding’. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in telecommunications and device operation, particularly those who have served in the Signal Corps.

What is the selection process and salary?

Selection for SPO posts will be based on document verification, a medical examination, and character and antecedent verification. No written examination or physical test will be conducted for this recruitment. Selected candidates will undergo a 15-day capsule training course. Selected Special Police Officers (SPOs) will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹20,000, which will be deposited directly into their bank accounts. Additionally, a one-time uniform allowance of ₹3,000 will be provided. A provision for a TA/DA (Traveling Allowance/Dearness Allowance) of ₹150 per day exists for official tours.

Documents required at the time of application

Candidates must bring a filled application form, all original documents, and a set of attested photocopies. Additionally, necessary affidavits and four passport-sized color photographs must be submitted. No application fee will be charged for this recruitment.

Appointment for one year

Selected SPOs will initially be appointed for a period of one year. This tenure may be extended until a regular appointment is made. SPOs cannot be deployed at their home police station; however, priority may be given to posting them within their home district, subject to availability.
