A nationwide mock drill regarding the Re-NEET will be conducted tomorrow. Lakhs of candidates are set to appear for this exam. The mock drill will commence in the morning and continue until late evening.
To ensure the security and smooth conduct of the NEET UG re-exam scheduled for June 21, a large-scale mock drill will be held across the country. According to reports, this exercise will take place on Saturday, testing security arrangements, exam center preparedness, and surveillance mechanisms.
The mock drill is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM and last until late evening. During this time, coordination between exam centers nationwide and relevant agencies will be reviewed to eliminate any possibility of irregularities or security lapses on the day of the exam.
It is worth noting that the nationwide mock drill on Saturday precedes the NEET-UG re-test on June 21. The objective is to assess exam preparedness and security protocols. The drill will run from 9:00 AM to late evening, involving the participation of over 2.5 lakh security personnel.
Exam to be held amidst tight security
All exam centers have already been handed over to the National Testing Agency (NTA). A three-tier security arrangement will be in place at the centers on the day of the exam. Officials stated that paramilitary forces will be responsible for the security of question papers and answer booklets. More than 5,000 exam centers across the country will be under the surveillance of CCTV cameras and security personnel.
Monitoring via CCTV
The NTA will have access to live feeds from all CCTV cameras. Additionally, a special monitoring center has been established to keep an eye on social media and track any suspicious activity. All investigative and security agencies have been placed on alert for the exam. Officials from the district administration, as well as state and central governments, will oversee the arrangements at the exam centers.
2.2 Million Students to Participate
Approximately 2.2 million students have registered for the NEET-UG re-test scheduled for June 21. Of these, around 1.8 million students have already downloaded their admit cards. This mock drill is being conducted to review security arrangements, coordination among agencies, and overall preparedness ahead of the exam.
Entry Allowed Even Without Biometric Verification
The NTA has clarified that if a candidate's biometric verification cannot be completed due to technical glitches, faint fingerprints, UIDAI connectivity issues, or physical reasons, they will not be barred from taking the exam.
