There is good news for ration consumers. The system of ration distribution for ration card holders is going to change. They will no longer have to stand in long queues for hours for this. The Uttar Pradesh government has ordered ration vendors in Ghaziabad district to distribute ration from 6 am to 9 pm. Not only this, ration card holders will be given tokens first so that they can get ration on time and do not have to wait much.

Ration kotedars will distribute free ration to ration card holders from 8 to 25 July. Kotedars will have to paste a notice outside the shop so that cardholders can get information regarding whether there is a ration in the shop or not.

Giving information in this regard, Ghaziabad District Food Supply Officer Amit Tiwari said that the voters will first give tokens to the ration card holders coming to get grains. The ration will be distributed as per the time and date mentioned on the token so that the cardholders do not have to wait. Tiwari said that even after this if any cardholder faces any problem in getting a ration, he can contact his office.

'Speedy up the application process for new ration card'
Let us tell you that Delhi's Food and Supplies Minister Imran Hussain also held a review meeting with the officials last Friday regarding the distribution of free ration under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) scheme. Also, in the meeting, he took detailed information from the officers about the distribution of ration through the portability scheme in Delhi. During the meeting, the minister instructed the Food Supply Department to speed up the process of application for new ration cards.
