If you don’t have a ration card yet, you no longer need to visit government offices or wait in long queues. You can now apply for a ration card online using your mobile phone, thanks to the UMANG app developed by the Government of India.

📲 How to Apply for a Ration Card via UMANG App – Step-by-Step

🔻 Step 1: Download the UMANG App

• Android users: Download it from Google Play Store.

• iPhone users: Get it from the Apple App Store.

🔻 Step 2: Register on the App

• Open the app and register using your mobile number.

• Complete OTP verification.

🔻 Step 3: Access Ration Card Services

• Once logged in, go to the “Services” section (bottom left corner).

• Scroll down to find the “Utility Services” section.

• Tap on “Apply Ration Card”.

🔻 Step 4: Fill in the Application

• Select your state from the dropdown.

• Enter your personal details:

  • Name

  • Father's name

  • Date of birth

  • Address and family details
