According to the Ministry of Railways, this route will originate at Rewari Junction and proceed to Jaipur, passing through Shahjahanpur and Neemrana in Rajasthan. The total length of the line will be approximately 191 kilometers. The Railway Board has also sanctioned a budget of ₹5.73 crore for conducting the survey and preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR). The construction of this new route will provide much-needed relief to the Delhi-Jaipur corridor, which is currently extremely busy.

Once the new route is operational, train delays will decrease significantly. Platforms will no longer be overcrowded, and the number of trains can be increased as per demand. Connectivity to Rajasthan's industrial hubs—specifically Neemrana, Alwar, and Jaipur—will be substantially improved. Residents of the Mahendragarh district also now have renewed hope of securing direct rail connectivity to these industrial zones in Rajasthan.

Once the new railway line becomes operational, trains traveling from Delhi to Gujarat (Ahmedabad) and Maharashtra (Mumbai) via Jaipur will have access to this new route as an alternative option. This will save passengers' time and make train travel a more comfortable experience. The Ministry of Railways has stated that the survey work will commence shortly. Once the DPR is finalized, the project's estimated cost, timeline, and future planning details will be determined. This initiative has been undertaken to alleviate the increasing train traffic on the Delhi-Jaipur route and to foster industrial growth within Rajasthan.
