KAVACH 4.0: There's great news for train passengers on the Mumbai-Vadodara route. Trains from Virar to Surat will now be even safer. Western Railway has launched the indigenous and state-of-the-art 'Kavach 4.0' system on this rail section, which will help prevent train collisions, signal violations, and accidents caused by human error. The system was formally inaugurated by flagging off the Sayaji Express. With this new technology, passengers are confident that their journey will now be safer than ever before.
Western Railway's Mumbai Division has implemented the 'Kavach 4.0' system across the entire 206-kilometer section from Virar to Surat. On this occasion, train number 20907 Sayaji Express was flagged off, formally inaugurating the Kavach system.

According to railway officials, Kavach is an indigenously developed technology in India, aimed at preventing train collisions, signal violations, and accidents caused by human error. Through this system, if the loco pilot makes a mistake, the system automatically applies the brakes and stops the train.
