Where to book Tatkal ticket?

After selecting the train and class for Tatkal ticket booking, information like name, age, gender, and ID proof of all passengers has to be given. While traveling by train, keep your identity proof like an Aadhar card, PAN card, or passport with you.

A passenger can book only 4 Tatkal tickets.

According to Indian Railways, a passenger can book a maximum of four Tatkal tickets at a time. Railways has implemented this rule to stop black marketing of Tatkal tickets. Obviously, if black marketing is reduced then the chances of getting confirmed tickets will increase.

How to book Tatkal tickets?

If you want to book Tatkal tickets, first of all, you have to create your IRCTC account. After logging in to the account, click on the "Booking" tab and "Tatkal" link. Now you have to fill in all the details like train number, boarding station, destination, date of travel, which have been asked. After entering all this information, click on "Search". On searching, available Tatkal tickets will be visible.

Now after selecting the class, you have to fill the details of all the passengers and then finally make the payment. To make payment, many options like credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking are available on the website.
