Railway Ticket Booking: Not getting a confirmed train ticket? AI will help, the problem will be solved in a jiffy..

How to Book Confirm Train Ticket: If you are also upset about not getting tickets during railway ticket booking, then there is good news for you. IRCTC is now going to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to improve its services. This will make the process of ticket booking even easier and faster. IRCTC says that with the help of AI technology, problems in ticket booking will be reduced. This will make it easier for passengers to book tickets and they will not need to check tickets by visiting the website again and again. AI technology will also provide information about ticket availability in real-time.
According to IRCTC, AI technology will increase transparency in the ticket booking process and will also stop fake bookings. This will enable passengers to get the right information at the right time and they will be able to plan their journey easily. IRCTC has specially introduced this Artificial Intelligence (AI) based technology to detect and inactivate fake user accounts. According to officials, about 3.5 crore fake IDs have been blocked in the last year with this step.
How agents misused the system
Most agents used unauthorized IDs, which manipulated ticket bookings using fake profiles and sent multiple requests to the system. Now new AI and machine learning tools are helping IRCTC to identify and stop these activities, providing better facilities to real passengers.
Agents often create dozens of IRCTC profiles for the same customer using short-term email addresses and random mobile numbers. These temporary email accounts are verified through OTP at the time of creation, but become inactive after some time, while fake profiles remain active.
Understand this with an example, if a passenger wants a ticket from Delhi to Agra, then an unauthorized agent can try to book the same ticket by creating 30 different accounts. This increases the chances of getting a confirmed seat. Doing this for hundreds of passengers can overload the system with the number of requests, which can lead to the seat booking of those who are just trying for their tickets getting canceled.
New AI technology curbs arbitrary behaviour of agents
IRCTC has updated its digital systems with AI to detect such unusual booking patterns. This AI technology identifies and deactivates accounts that are using disposable emails or automated bots. AI stops them before they even attempt a booking.
