Northern Railway has announced the start of the recruitment process for over 4,000 apprentice positions for the new session. This recruitment process is considered a golden opportunity for those who aspire to a career in the Railways and have been waiting for a major recruitment for a long time. Significantly, there will be no written examination for these positions. Instead, selection will be based on 10th and ITI marks. Therefore, strong merit will increase the chances of selection. The application process for this recruitment will begin on November 25th and continue until December 24th, 2025. How many vacancies in which zone?

RRC Northern Railway has announced a total of 4,116 vacancies. These include 1,397 in the Lucknow zone, 1,137 in Delhi, 632 in Firozpur, 934 in Ambala, and 16 in Moradabad. These positions will recruit apprentices in various trades, including fitter, electrician, welder, and carpenter. For this recruitment, candidates must have passed the 10th standard with 50% marks from a recognized board. An ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an NCVT/SCVT-accredited institute is also required. Applicants must be between 15 and 24 years of age. Additionally, reserved categories will receive age relaxation.

Finally, general category candidates will be required to pay a fee of ₹100 for this recruitment process. SC, ST, women, and disabled candidates will not be required to pay any fee.

What is the selection process?

There will be no examination for all these apprentice positions. The selection process will be based on a merit list based on the marks obtained in class 10th and ITI. This will be followed by document verification and a medical test.
