East Central Railway (ECR) has invited applications for 1154 apprentice posts. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the official website of Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway, rrcecr.gov.in. This recruitment drive is being done for various divisions and workshops, and the registration process has started from 25 January 2025. The last date of application is 14 February 2025. Dhanbad Division – 156 posts

Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Division – 64 posts

Sonpur Division – 47 posts

Samastipur Division – 46 posts

Plant Depot/Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay – 29 posts

Carriage Repair Workshop/Harnaut – 110 posts

Mechanical Workshop/Samastipur – 27 posts

Recruitment will be done on different posts in all these divisions and workshops. Interested candidates can apply for these posts as per their eligibility.

This is the eligibility criteria.

A minimum educational qualification has been prescribed for the candidates applying for this recruitment. The candidate must have passed 10th class (matriculation) examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum 50% marks from a recognized board. Apart from this, it is mandatory to have ITI in the relevant trade. The candidate should also have a National Trade Certificate or a certificate issued by the National Council or State Council.

This is the selection process

Selection for apprentice posts will be done on the basis of merit list. In the merit list, the average of both 10th class and ITI marks of the candidates will be taken and both will be given equal importance. On this basis, the candidates will be selected and they will be enrolled for training. This selection process will be completely based on marks, and no written test or interview will be conducted.

This much will be the application fee

According to the notification, the application fee has been fixed at Rs 100. This fee has to be paid by the candidate through online mode through debit/credit card or internet banking. Keep in mind that in addition to the application fee, if there is any transaction fee, then it will have to be borne by the candidates themselves. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and female candidates are exempted from application fee.
