Train Cancellations: Train services are expected to be impacted in the coming days due to technical work being carried out in the Delhi Division. Consequently, several trains have been cancelled between May 5 and May 13 owing to yard remodeling and the installation of a new electronic interlocking system at the Delhi Kishan Ganj station. Additionally, the routes of certain trains have also been altered.
These changes will primarily affect passengers traveling to and from Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh, who may face travel-related difficulties during this period. Therefore, it is crucial to verify this information before embarking on a journey.
Impact on Multiple Trains
Due to this ongoing work, the Railways has modified the operations of several trains. Key passenger trains—such as New Delhi-Rohtak, Delhi-Jind, Delhi-Narwana, and Delhi-Shamli—have been completely cancelled on specific days.
Furthermore, certain local services—such as the Shakurbasti-New Delhi route—will remain suspended during this period. In addition, the routes of several long-distance trains have been altered; passengers traveling on these routes are advised to plan their journeys in advance.
Several Trains Diverted
According to the Railways, trains traveling from Katra to Kanyakumari, Katra to Chennai, Katra to Jabalpur, and Katra to Tirunelveli have been diverted to alternative routes. Additionally, scheduled halts at certain stations have been temporarily suspended for some trains. Passengers are advised to verify all details in advance before commencing their journey to avoid any inconvenience.
Possibility of Delays
During this period, the services of several local trains operating on the Palwal, Ghaziabad, Dankaur, and Khurja routes have been curtailed; these trains will now operate only up to New Delhi or Delhi Junction. Furthermore, some trains may run up to two hours behind their scheduled arrival/departure times. As a result, passengers may face difficulties.
