Holi is about to be a colorful festival for the people of Uttar Pradesh. They are going to receive free cylinders under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PM-Ujjwala Yojana). The subsidy for the free cylinder will be credited to the accounts of all beneficiaries before Holi.

PMUY Eligibility: Who can apply?
This scheme benefits those who come from poor families and do not have a cylinder connection.
This scheme focuses primarily on poor families, such as those living in rural or semi-urban areas.
The woman's family must be below the BPL (Below Poverty Line) level. You will need to provide income proof for this.
You will also need to provide proof of the number of family members.
Families who avail of PMAY-G (Housing) and Ayushman Card under SECC 2011 will also receive these benefits.
According to My Scheme, families belonging to the SC or ST community.
Extremely Backward Tribes and TXT Garden Tribes can also avail of this scheme.

How to Apply
First, you need to visit the official website of the PM Ujjwala Yojana.
You will need to choose the name of the oil company, such as Bharat Gas, etc.
Next, select the Ujjwala 2.0 New Connection option in the Select Type field.
Enter the state, district, and distributor's name.
Then, enter your mobile number, captcha code, and the OTP received on your mobile.
Select Yes or No under Migrant Family Status. This means, have you come from outside the country and settled here?
Now, select "Yes" for the Family Identifier (the number of members in your family) and enter your ration card details.
Now, enter your family details, personal details, bank details, address details, etc.
You will now receive a reference number. Go to the gas agency with this reference number.
