PNB Update: PNB again reduced interest rates on FD, check the latest rates..

PNB FD Rates: The country's second largest public sector bank Punjab National Bank (PNB) has shocked its customers. Actually, PMB has again revised its fixed deposit (FD) interest rates. This change has been made on FDs of less than Rs 3 crore. PNB had also revised the FD rates last month. Now the bank has reduced the interest rates on FDs of some tenures by 0.25 percent.

Private sector Bandhan Bank has also changed its FD interest rates. The new FD rates of both the banks have come into effect from May 1, 2025.

Interest ranges from 3.50 percent to 7.10 percent

Now Punjab National Bank is giving interest ranging from 3.50 percent to 7.10 percent to common citizens on FDs ranging from 7 days to 10 years. The highest interest rate on FD of 390 days is 7.10 percent.

Senior citizens will get 0.50 percent interest.

Senior citizens between 60 and 80 years will get 0.50 percent more interest on FDs for up to 5 years. They will get 0.80 percent more interest on FDs of more than 5 years. This rule will apply to deposits of less than Rs 3 crore. Senior citizens will now get interest ranging from 4.00 percent to 7.60 percent. On the other hand, super senior citizens will get 0.80 percent more interest on all types of FDs. Now super senior citizens will get interest ranging from 4.30 percent to 7.90 percent.

Bandhan Bank also revised FD rates

Apart from PNB, Bandhan Bank has also changed the interest rates on FDs of less than Rs 3 crore. Now this bank will give interest ranging from 3 percent to 7.75 percent to common citizens on FDs ranging from 7 days to 10 years. Senior citizens will get interest ranging from 3.75 percent to 8.25 percent.
