PNB KYC Update: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has given its customers the last date to update KYC by 8 August 2025. Accounts may be banned if KYC is not updated within the stipulated time. The bank has appealed to the customers to submit information such as identity proof, address proof, PAN / Form 60, photo, and mobile number through the branch, registered email or PNB One / Internet Banking. This process is mandatory under RBI guidelines.
PNB KYC Update: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has alerted its customers in time and appealed to complete the process of updating KYC (Know Your Customer) soon. If customers do not update the KYC of their accounts by the stipulated deadline i.e. 8 August 2025, then transaction restrictions may be imposed on bank accounts.
Why is KYC update necessary?
KYC i.e. 'Know Your Customer' is an important part of the banking process, which ensures confirmation of the identity and address of the customers. PNB has taken this decision under the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), so that safe and smooth operation of banking services can be ensured.
Which customers will have to update KYC?
This instruction applies only to those customers whose accounts' KYC is required to be updated by June 30, 2025. Such account holders will have to provide their identity and address related documents to the bank as soon as possible.
Which documents will have to be submitted?
Some important documents will be required for KYC update.
- Identity proof (such as Aadhaar, passport, voter ID)
- Address proof
- Recent passport size photo
- PAN card or Form 60
- Income proof (if applicable)
- Mobile number (if not registered)
- Any other required documents
How to update KYC?
PNB has provided three methods of KYC update for the convenience of customers.
Through PNB One App: Download the mobile app and upload KYC documents.
Through Internet Banking (IBS): Update by logging on to PNB website.
Through branch, email or post: Submit the relevant documents to your branch or send it through registered email/post.
Transactions banned for not updating KYC
If you are a PNB customer and your account's KYC update is pending, then complete the KYC process before 8 August 2025. Failure to do so may result in a ban on transactions in your account. Take immediate action to continue banking services.
