The Indian Central Government and the Governments of various states run various types of schemes to help the economically weaker people, which aim to develop these people and provide a good life, among these, the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, launched in 2023, stands out for its focus on empowering skilled artisans and craftsmen across the country, let's know about them-
Objective and Benefits:
The scheme aims to support artisans and craftsmen by providing financial assistance and vocational training, it provides a comprehensive package including low-interest loans, free training, and toolkits.
Vocational Training:
Beneficiaries get free vocational training.
During the training period, the government provides an allowance of ₹ 500 per day.
Upon completion, each participant is provided with a toolkit worth ₹ 15,000.
Financial Assistance:
Loans up to ₹3,00,000 are available to help set up a business.
An initial loan of ₹1,00,000 must be repaid within 18 months.
Upon repayment, an additional loan of ₹2,00,000 is available with a repayment period of 30 months.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be Indian citizens aged 18 years or above.
Only one member of each family can avail the benefits of this scheme.
Beneficiaries must not be government employees.

Application Process:
Applications must be submitted offline.
Visit the nearest Common Service Centre with the required documents.
