The Indian central government has started various types of schemes for the economically weaker farmers of its country, which aim to remove the financial difficulties of these people, one such scheme is the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan), which is to provide financial assistance to financially deprived farmers. Let us tell you that through this scheme, farmers get 6000 rupees annually, that too in three installments of 2000. Till now farmers have received 17 installments of this scheme and if you want its 18th installment, then some tasks like e-KYC should be completed, let's know about them-

Why is e-KYC necessary?

Mandatory requirement: e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) is mandatory for all participants in the PM-Kisan scheme, whether they are new or existing beneficiaries.

Identity Verification: The e-KYC process ensures that the identity of each beneficiary is verified, thereby preventing any fraudulent claims.

Risk of Withholding: If a farmer fails to complete the e-KYC process, their eligibility to receive installments may be at risk, leading to delays or denial of financial assistance.

How to Complete e-KYC

Visit Common Service Centre (CSC): Farmers can visit their nearest CSC, where e-KYC is done using biometric verification.

Through Banks: Farmers can also complete their e-KYC at their respective banks.

Online Option: Those who do not want to travel can do e-KYC online using OTP (One-Time Password) through the official PM-Kisan portal pmkisan.gov.in.
