Benefits for First and Second Births
Under the PMMVY scheme, first-time mothers receive a financial assistance of ₹5,000. ₹3,000 is provided upon registration at the time of conception and ₹2,000 upon birth. If a woman gives birth to a daughter for the second time, she receives ₹6,000. This financial assistance is sent directly to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank or post office account via DBT. The scheme aims to ensure this amount is used for the nutrition of mothers and children.
Eligibility and Application Process
Women applying for the PMMVY scheme must be at least 19 years old, and their family's annual income must be less than ₹8 lakh. Women who have an MNREGA card, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, e-Shram card, BPL card, or are a disabled person are also eligible for this scheme. Applications must be submitted within 270 days of the child's birth.
How to Apply for PMMVY?
You can apply both online and offline to avail the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY). To apply online, visit the official website pmmvy.wcd.gov.in. Documents such as your Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and MCP card must be uploaded there.
To apply offline, submit the form at your nearest Anganwadi center or health center.
