The Indian Center runs various types of schemes for the economically weak people of the country, which aim to help and uplift these people, one such scheme is PM Kisan Yojana through which farmers get 6000 rupees a year in three installments of 2000. But recently the government has excluded some people from this scheme due to the rigging in the scheme, let's know about them-

Debt protection: The primary objective of PM Kisan Yojana is to enable farmers to buy essential items like fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, and agricultural equipment without the burden of debt.

Eligibility Criteria

Not all farmers can avail this benefit. Here are the main eligibility points:

Single Beneficiary Rule: Only one member of a family can avail of the scheme. For example, if the father is the beneficiary, the son will not be eligible.

Land Ownership: Applicants must have their agricultural land. Those who do not own land are not eligible for the scheme.

Age Requirement: The applicant must be at least 18 years of age as of February 1, 2019.

Government Employment: Farmers whose family members are current or retired government employees, or those holding constitutional posts, are not eligible.

Income Tax Payers: Families whose members have paid income tax in the previous year cannot avail of the scheme.

Professional Restriction: Farmers whose family members are registered professionals (like doctors, engineers, lawyers, etc.) and are actively practicing are also excluded from this benefit.

Upcoming Installments

18th Installment Update: The government has released 17 installments so far, and farmers are now waiting for the 18th installment. While it is expected to be distributed in October, the exact date has not been officially announced yet.
