You do not need to tell us that India is an agricultural country and farmers are considered God here, in this context, the Government of India has implemented many schemes to help the farmers, and one of the notable initiatives is the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan).

Under this beneficiary farmers get an annual payment of ₹ 6,000, which is distributed in three installments of ₹ 2,000 every four months through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

So far, farmers have received 17 installments of this and now its 18th installment is awaited, if reports are to be believed, the government can increase the benefits under the PM-Kisan scheme. The annual payment can be increased from ₹ 6,000 to ₹ 8,000. This potential increase of ₹2,000 has been made in response to rising inflation and the current economic environment.

Current situation in Rajasthan

Rajasthan has already implemented an improved version of this scheme. In the state, farmers get a total of ₹8,000 annually under the PM-Kisan scheme. This amount includes ₹6,000 provided by the central government and an additional ₹2,000 given by the state government.
