Monthly Pension Benefits:

This scheme provides a monthly pension of ₹ 3,000 to eligible farmers after attaining the age of 60 years.

Eligibility Criteria:

Farmers between the age of 18 to 40 years can apply for this scheme.

It is specifically for small and marginal farmers who have less than 2 hectares of land.

Investment details:

The amount to be invested varies depending on the age of the applicant at the time of enrolment.

The monthly contribution ranges from ₹55 to ₹200.

For example, a farmer who enrolls at the age of 18 years will have to invest ₹55 every month till the age of 60 years.

Pension after 60 years: After attaining the age of 60 years, the farmer will start receiving a pension of ₹3,000 every month.

Beneficiary in case of death: If the farmer enrolled in the scheme dies, 50% of the pension amount will be provided to the farmer's spouse every month.

Exclusions: Farmers with more than 2 hectares of land are not eligible. Those who are already contributing to the National Pension System (NPS), or are receiving benefits from the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) or the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), cannot avail of the scheme.

Application Process: Applying for the PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana is straightforward. Farmers can visit their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to open an account and start their investment.
