PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana: Prime Minister Modi launched the 'Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rozgar Yojana' on Independence Day. Those who get their first job will get Rs 15,000, and companies will get incentives on recruitment. The target of create 3.5 crore jobs in the next two years.

PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana: To provide employment to the youth of the country and increase opportunities in the private sector, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the 'Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rozgar Yojana' (PMVBRY) on the occasion of Independence Day. The aim of this scheme is to create more than 3.5 crore employment opportunities in the next two years.

The Prime Minister announced from the Red Fort, "From today, a scheme of Rs 1 lakh crore is being implemented for the youth of the country. With this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 15,000 will be given to those who get jobs for the first time and companies will be given incentives for job creation." Who will get the benefit?

The benefit of the scheme will be available only to those youth who have started a job for the first time and who are registered with EPFO. The salary should be up to Rs 1 lakh per month. The amount of Rs 15,000 will be given in two installments, the first installment after completing 6 months of job, and the second installment after completing 12 months of job and financial literacy program.

Benefits for companies too

Part B of the scheme focuses on giving incentives to employers. Companies will get an incentive of Rs 3,000 per month for 2 years for every additional employee (salary maximum Rs 1 lakh, continuous job for 6 months). This assistance will continue for the third and fourth year in the manufacturing sector as well.

Benefit period: Jobs created between 1 August 2025 and 31 July 2027
Two parts: Part A (first-time job seekers) and Part B (employers)
Total budget: Rs 99,446 crore
Target beneficiaries: 1.92 crore first-time job seekers, total 3.5 crore jobs

Application process

Get EPFO code from Shram Suvidha portal.
Register on EPFO employer portal.
Hire new employees with salary up to Rs 1 lakh/month.
File monthly ECR return with PF contribution.
Retain additional employees for at least 6 months.

The government believes that this scheme will not only open new doors of employment for the youth, but will also motivate companies to make new recruitments.
