Has the rising electricity bills disturb your sleep, then do not worry, the way the Indian government is running various types of schemes for the economically weaker people, that aim to help these people, one such scheme is PM Suryodaya Yojana, which focuses on installing solar panels in homes to reduce electricity expenses.

Under this scheme, solar panels are being given to homes, especially to the poor and needy people, to help them control their electricity costs. This initiative includes subsidies to make solar panel installation more accessible and affordable for eligible citizens.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the PM Suryodaya Yojana from Ayodhya on January 22, which aims to effectively reduce electricity bills. The scheme is expected to benefit about one crore people across the country, in which priority will be given to the economically deprived and then the middle class.

It is important to note that the eligibility criteria require applicants to own a home and have Indian citizenship. Tax-paying or government-employed individuals are not eligible for benefits under this particular scheme.
