The central government runs many schemes for the people of the country. One of these schemes is the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana. Prime Minister Modi announced this scheme at the beginning of this year, due to which the electricity bill of your house will become zero. Through this scheme, you are given a subsidy on installing solar panels and you are also given some units of electricity free.

Under this scheme, the government will install solar panels on the roof of one crore houses in the country. Under this scheme, up to 300 units of free electricity will also be given. Under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana, different types of subsidies are given for installing solar panels of different watts. If a person installs a 1 kW solar system, a subsidy of Rs 30,000 is given. Similarly, a subsidy of Rs 60,000 is given for 2 kW, and Rs 78,000 is given for solar panel connection of 3 kW or more.
