PM Surya Ghar Yojana: Under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, any person can install a solar panel of any capacity according to the need of their house, but the subsidy of the center and the state will be available only up to 3 kilowatts. The purpose of this scheme is to benefit the middle class people by giving subsidy.

PM Surya Ghar Yojana: Now every house in Chhattisgarh will be made self-sufficient in electricity with the PM Surya Ghar Yojana of the Center. Under this scheme, people will be able to generate electricity by installing solar panels at their home. This will fulfill the electricity needs of the house itself and the remaining electricity can be sold to the grid. This will almost eliminate the electricity bill and there will be no need for any subsidized scheme. Apart from the subsidy of the Center, the Chhattisgarh government has also announced to give an additional subsidy of maximum 30 thousand rupees from its side, which will help people further in installing solar panels.

For Rs 72,000, you will get a 10-year loan at 6% interest

The central and state governments together are giving a subsidy of Rs 1.08 lakh on a 3 kW rooftop solar panel. Its total cost is around Rs 1.80 lakh, in which the person who gets a 10-year loan at 6% interest will get the remaining Rs 72,000. Its monthly installment will be only Rs 808. Small house holders can also install 1 or 2 kW panels, on which different subsidies will also be given by the government. The Energy Department has given information in this regard. According to the department, after installing solar panels, people will not have to pay electricity bills. Every month 200 to 360 units of electricity will be produced, which will make both the needs of the house and additional income possible.

Consumers will generate electricity of their own need

Consumers installing rooftop solar plants will generate electricity of their own need and will be able to earn additional income by selling the remaining electricity to the grid. In the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana, the consumers can pay the remaining 25% cost themselves or take a loan from the bank at a low interest rate. Its monthly installment will be around Rs 800, which is less than the average bill of Rs 1000 for 400 units at present, which will lead to huge savings in electricity expenses.
