Thousands of farmers are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan). All eligible landholding farmers registered under the PM Kisan Yojana get the necessary financial assistance through this government program. The scheme uses the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, which deposits Rs 6,000 every year directly into the bank accounts of farmers.

So far, 19 installments have been deposited, the last of which was given on 24 February 2025. The 20th installment is expected to come in early July 2025. Farmers are advised to fulfill all the eligibility conditions to avoid any delay or rejection.

Aadhaar name errors can delay payments: The name of the beneficiary must exactly match their Aadhaar information to receive the installment. If there is any mistake in the name, such as misspelling or inconsistency in format, the payment will not be made. To fix this issue, PM-Kisan beneficiaries will have to update their names as per the Aadhaar records.

E-KYC through mobile app: For this, the beneficiary will have to do face authentication through the mobile app or bio-authentication-based e-KYC at CSC centers. The PM Kisan website states that please do face authentication through the mobile app or bio-authentication-based e-KYC at CSC centers for name correction.

How to correct the name as per Aadhaar? The government has made it easier for farmers to correct their names through digital authentication methods. According to the official PM-Kisan website, you can update your name as follows: Farmers can download the PM-Kisan app and start the correction process by completing face authentication. You can also do bio-authentication-based eKYC at CSC centers. Alternatively, beneficiaries can visit their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to complete eKYC and do name correction using biometric verification.

How to complete Face Authentication e-KYC (Mobile App): Download the PM-Kisan Mobile App and Aadhaar Face RD App from the Google Play Store. Open the PM-Kisan App and log in with your registered mobile number. Go to Beneficiary Status section. If e-KYC status is showing "No", click on 'e-KYC'. Enter your Aadhaar number and allow face scan. Once your face is successfully scanned, e-KYC will be completed. Note that e-KYC status will be updated on the portal within 24 hours of successful completion through any mode.
