PM Kisan Yojana: Crores of farmers across the country are awaiting the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this scheme, ₹2,000 is transferred to the account of every eligible farmer. The previous—i.e., the 23rd—installment was released in June 2026.

The question now is whether the next installment will arrive in September or October. Based on statements from Agriculture Department officials, it is likely to be released in October. However, the government has not yet announced an official date.

Why is an October release likely?

The PM Kisan Yojana provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year. This amount is transferred directly to bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000 each. Typically, there is a gap of about four months between installments.

The 23rd installment was released in June; therefore, the 24th installment is expected in October. Nilesh Chaurasia, Deputy Director of Agriculture, has also indicated that the next installment could arrive in October. However, one must wait for an official government announcement for the confirmed date.

Payments for these farmers could be stalled

Certain formalities must be completed for the 24th installment. If any of these are incomplete, the payment could be held up.

The installment may be withheld if e-KYC is not completed.
Verification of land records is also mandatory.
Bank account details must be accurate.
Aadhaar and other essential details must be correct.
How to check status from home?

Visit the official PM Kisan website.
Go to the 'Farmers Corner' and select the 'Know Your Status' option.
Enter your registered mobile number and the captcha code.
After entering the OTP received on your mobile, you can view the status of your installment.
If any information is incomplete or pending, ensure it is completed in time.
Currently, there has been no official announcement regarding the date of the 24th installment. Therefore, farmers should wait for government updates rather than relying on claims made on social media.
