What is PM Kisan Yojana?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana) on 1 December 2018. In this, beneficiary farmers get financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually. This amount is received in three installments every four months. In each installment, Rs 2000 comes directly to the farmers' account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Keep these things in mind.

Farmers with less than 2 hectares of land will get the benefit of PM Kisan Yojana. The farmer should be the owner of the land as well as an Indian citizen.

The farmer has to link his Aadhaar to the bank account. If Aadhaar is not already linked to the bank account, then you can go to the nearest bank branch and get it linked.

This scheme was earlier only for small and marginal farmers. But, now improvements have been made in it and more farmers have been included in it.
