PM Kisan Yojana 18th Installment: How much amount will be received, how to check status, what is eligibility, and know the answer to every question related to eKYC here

Prime Minister Narendra Modi can release the 18th installment of PM Kisan Yojana on October 5, 2024. This scheme provides financial assistance to all the farmer families of India who have land. Launched by the NDA government in 2018, the scheme aims to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmer families across India.

Under this scheme, eligible farmers get Rs 6,000 per year in three installments of Rs 2,000. These payments are transferred directly to the bank accounts of farmers through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. The 17th installment of PM-Kisan Yojana was released earlier this year in June 2024, in which the government distributed about Rs 20,000 crore to 9.3 crore farmers. Now, as the festive season approaches, the 18th installment is set to be released on October 5.

How farmers can check their beneficiary status

Farmers listed under the PM-KISAN scheme can easily check their beneficiary status online.

Visit the official PM-KISAN website and go to the "Beneficiary Status" page.

Enter your Aadhaar number or account number.

Click on the "Get Data" button to view your beneficiary status and verify payment details.

Once the information is submitted, the system processes the request and reflects the farmer's status as a beneficiary, including the status of payments made under the scheme. This straightforward process allows farmers to track when their installments are credited to their accounts.

eKYC requirement for PM-KISAN beneficiaries

An important step for farmers to receive their payments under the PM-KISAN scheme is to complete the mandatory electronic know your customer (eKYC) process.

There are three ways to complete the eKYC process:

OTP-based eKYC: This is the simplest option and can be done through the PM-KISAN website. Farmers need to enter their Aadhaar number and registered mobile number, after which a one-time password (OTP) will be sent to their mobile. Entering the OTP completes the eKYC process.

Biometric-based eKYC: Farmers who are unable to complete the OTP-based process can visit their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or Rajya Seva Kendra to complete the biometric-based authentication. The operator will scan the farmer's fingerprint or iris for verification.

Face authentication-based eKYC: This method is available through the PM-Kisan mobile app, where farmers can authenticate their identity using facial recognition.

These steps must be completed to ensure timely receipt of the 18th installment of ₹2,000.
