PM Kisan 24th Installment, October 30: There is good news for farmers awaiting the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme. Their wait is about to end, as the government has announced the date for the release of the 24th installment. The government has stated that the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Nidhi will be released on October 30. While there were expectations that the installment might be released during Durga Puja, it will now be provided to farmers ahead of Diwali.

An installment of Rs 2,000 for farmers before Diwali
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, eligible farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually, disbursed in installments of Rs 2,000 every four months. The 23rd installment was released in June, and the 24th installment is now scheduled for release on October 30.

Rs 2,000 to be credited directly to bank accounts
The government transfers the Rs 2,000 installment directly into the farmers' bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Completing eKYC is mandatory to avail the benefits of this scheme; therefore, farmers who have not yet completed their biometric or OTP-based eKYC may have their installment withheld. Furthermore, to receive the benefits, it is essential that the farmer's bank account is linked to their Aadhaar and that the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) facility is active.

Additionally, land verification—specifically, uploading the land record document (*khatouni*)—to the official portal is also required. Failure to do so may result in the scheme's funds being held up.
