PM Kisan 22nd Installment: There is good news for farmers awaiting the 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. On Friday (March 13), Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 22nd installment of the PM-KISAN scheme by pressing a remote button from Guwahati, Assam. Under this initiative, an amount exceeding ₹18,640 crore has been transferred directly into the bank accounts of approximately 9.32 crore farmers across the country.
Since the inception of the scheme in 2019 up to the 21st installment, a sum of over ₹4.09 lakh crore has been transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmer families. With the release of the 22nd installment, the total amount transferred to farmers under this scheme has now surpassed ₹4.27 lakh crore.
How to Check if Your Name is on the Beneficiary List
First, visit the official PM-Kisan website. On the homepage, click on the ‘Beneficiary List’ option. Next, enter the details regarding your State, District, Tehsil, Block, and Village. After selecting all the required information, click on ‘Get Report’. A complete list of all beneficiaries in your village will then appear on the screen. If your name is included in this list, you may be eligible to receive the scheme's installment.
How to Check if the Money Has Been Credited to Your Account
Farmers can also check online whether the installment has been credited to their bank accounts. To do this, first visit the PM-Kisan portal and click on the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option. Next, enter your Aadhaar number, bank account number, or registered mobile number. Then, click on ‘Get Data’. Complete details regarding your installment and the payment status will then be displayed on the screen.
What is the PM Kisan Scheme?
It is worth noting that the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme is a flagship initiative of the Central Government, aimed at providing financial assistance to farmers. This scheme was launched in 2019. Under this program, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year. This amount is transferred directly into the farmers' bank accounts in three equal installments (of ₹2,000 each). To avail the benefits of this scheme, farmers must possess an Aadhaar-linked bank account and land records. The government disburses these funds directly through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to prevent any irregularities in the process.
