21 installments of the PM Kisan Yojana have now been released. Farmers are now waiting for the 22nd installment. The Modi government at the center may give the gift of the 22nd installment to crores of farmer brothers on the new year. However, many farmers may be deprived of this benefit. This is because the government has made Farmer ID mandatory for the scheme. Let's find out what a Farmer ID is and how you can get one.

The government informed Parliament that the farmer-centric digital infrastructure has ensured that the benefits of this scheme reach all farmers across the country without any intermediaries. Maintaining complete transparency in the registration and verification of beneficiaries, the Government of India has disbursed more than ₹4.09 lakh crore in 21 installments since the launch of the scheme.

Farmer ID is mandatory for these farmers.
Furthermore, in a written reply given in Parliament on December 13, Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ramnath Thakur stated that Farmer ID has been made mandatory for new registrations under the PM KISAN Yojana in 14 states where farmer registration work has started. In states where farmer registration work has not yet started, farmers can register without a Farmer ID.
