PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 24th Installment Update: The 24th installment of Rs 2,000 under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme may be credited to the bank accounts of eligible farmers before the festival of Diwali in October or November 2026. Under this scheme, an installment of Rs 2,000 is released every four months. The 23rd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi was disbursed on June 20, 2026; therefore, the 24th installment is likely to be released in October. However, the government has yet to announce an official date. In Uttar Pradesh alone, more than 2.2 crore eligible farmers are set to benefit directly from this scheme. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, eligible farming families receive financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually, transferred directly to their bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each. Installment may be withheld if eKYC is not completed
The Ministry of Agriculture and state governments have implemented stringent measures to prevent fraud and ensure that the benefits of the PM Kisan scheme reach only genuine farmers. Completing eKYC is mandatory to avail the benefits of this scheme; therefore, farmers who have not yet completed their biometric or OTP-based eKYC may have their installment withheld. Furthermore, to receive the benefits, it is essential that your bank account is linked to your Aadhaar and that the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) facility is active. Additionally, land verification documents (such as the 'Khatauni' or land record) must be uploaded to the official portal. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the disbursement of the scheme's funds being held up.
How to Check Your Beneficiary Status
If you wish to verify whether you will receive the next installment, you can easily check your status by visiting the official portal. Simply follow the process outlined below:
First, open the official website of the PM Kisan Yojana at pmkisan.gov.in. On the homepage, navigate to the 'Farmers Corner' section located on the right side and click on the 'Know Your Status' option. Enter your PM Kisan registration number along with the captcha code displayed on the screen. If you do not remember your registration number, click on 'Know your Registration Number' to retrieve it using your registered mobile number or Aadhaar number. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and submit. Your complete details will appear on the screen. Ensure that 'YES' is displayed next to 'eKYC Status', 'Land Seeding', and 'Aadhaar Bank Seeding Status'. If all three show 'YES', your installment is secure.
What to Do If You Face Issues with eKYC
If your eKYC has not yet been completed, go to the 'eKYC' option on the pmkisan.gov.in portal, enter your Aadhaar number, and complete the process using the OTP sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. If your mobile number is not linked to your Aadhaar, visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to complete the eKYC process using biometrics (i.e., your thumbprint).
