PM Kisan 24th Installment: Names to be removed if e-KYC and land seeding are incomplete; check status today at pmkisan.gov.in
The 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is expected to be released in October. Payments could be stalled if e-KYC, land seeding, and Bank-Aadhaar linking are incomplete. Learn how to check your status.
PM Kisan 24th Installment: There is an important update regarding the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) for crores of farmers across the country. Following the successful transfer of the 23rd installment in June 2026, the Central Government is now preparing for the upcoming installment. Under the scheme’s rules—which mandate a release every four months—the next installment of ₹2,000 is expected to be transferred to farmers’ accounts in October 2026. However, according to official data and Ministry of Agriculture guidelines, farmers with discrepancies in their documents and bank records are being removed from the beneficiary list.
Installment payments could be stalled due to these 3 issues
The government has significantly tightened the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) rules for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Recent data reveals that lakhs of farmers have missed out on financial assistance due to a failure to meet mandatory requirements:
Incomplete e-KYC: The e-KYC process is mandatory under the scheme. Farmers who do not complete biometric or OTP-based e-KYC will not be eligible for the next installment.
Land Verification (Land Seeding): If the digital verification of land records is incomplete in government data, the beneficiary’s installment is withheld with immediate effect.
Bank Account Mapping with Aadhaar and NPCI: Funds are transferred directly via DBT. If the bank account is not linked to the Aadhaar card or mapped on the NPCI server, the payment will fail.
Which beneficiaries might receive a double amount of ₹4,000? There is welcome news for eligible farmers whose previous installment (the 23rd) was held up due to missing documents or verification issues. According to an Aaj Tak report, if these farmers complete their e-KYC and land seeding processes before the 24th installment is released, they could receive a total of ₹4,000—comprising the pending installment and the new one—transferred to their accounts simultaneously after verification. Farmers with regular and accurate records will receive the standard installment of ₹2,000.
